Production Duo DJ OBese and Jay Sharp formed the DIRTY DUBSTERS in Summer 2009 and they have been going from strength to strength ever since.

2011 saw the Dirty Dubsters establish their Irish Moss records label, featuring various raggae artists and vocalists from around the world. The label has grown steadily with a list of top class collaborations with the likes of Blend Mishkin, Brother Culture, Screechy Dan, Whandah "the dainty queen", Liondub, Flatline, Aeries, Afu Ra, Top Cat, Adam Faz, Run Tingz Cru, and many more to follow. The label kick-started off with two digital releases which were soon followed by two 12" vinyl releases the second half of the year.

On the DJ front the Dirty Dubsters have been booked for international gigs all over Europe playing many clubs and festivals. They were signed to Mixed Bizness booking agency who now handle all their international bookings. For bookings contact ben@mixedbizness.co.uk

2010 was another busy year for the Dirty Dubsters, with over 60 tracks down over 20 different releases on various labels including their own digital label 'Dirty Dubster Digital'. Their digital label has proved very successful, with Dirty Dubster releases remaining in the best seller lists consistently since the label was established. The 'Don't mean a thing if aint got that Swing EP' went to No. 5 best selling release on the entire Juno download site over all genres.

The Dirty Dubsters profile has developed rapidly this year, with many well known producers and DJs proclaiming themselves fans of the big beat Dublin duo – including Fort Knox Five, Rust B (All Good Funk Alliance), Mr Benn, Danny Massure, DJ Shepdog (niceUP! Records), Mungo HiFi, Fuzzbox Inc, DJ Wood, Pimpsoul, Slynk....... to name just a few.

Throughout 2010 the Dirty Dubsters collaborated with many different MC’s from around the globe while working on their Dirty Dub-Plate Series. These included Bass Nacho (Florida, USA), Chip Fu (Las Vagas, USA), Whandah the danty queen (New York, USA), Jah Clarity (Kingston, Jamaica) and Chantelle Ernandez (Kingston, Jamaica). These collaborations have proved very successful with the 1st release with Bass Nacho receiving rave reviews and landing on Don Letts play list on BBC Radio 6.

Dirty Dubsters set up a SoundCloud page in January 2010, which has proved to be an excellent outlet for their music. It has proved to be a great place to network with like-minded producers / DJ’s / labels and promoters. With over 2,000 followers and over 50,000 plays in the first 6 months, the SoundCloud portal has proved very successful for the lads.

Dirty Dubsters YouTube channel was set up to showcase their music, with original music videos for each of their tracks with customised animations and visuals created by Jay Sharp. With over 50,000 hits on their channel across 20 different music videos for their tracks, Dirty Dubsters have reached #26 ranking in YouTube Most Viewed (This Week) – Musicians – Ireland. They're pushing the creative boundaries both musically and visually to bring fun entertaining media to the party massive..........
